IMDG Training (Sea)

IMDG Dangerous Goods by Sea TRAINING Courses in the UK, Europe and worldwide with Llewellyn (Safety Advisors) Europe Ltd

It is a legal requirement that all shore based personnel involved in the consigning, handling and packaging of Dangerous Goods By Sea are required to have IMDG training.

The International Maritime Organisation (IMO) publish the Dangerous Goods Regulations every other year, which is widely accepted as the industry standard.  Llewellyn Europe instructors run IMDG Dangerous Goods initial training and refresher courses.

In-house courses can be arranged anywhere in the world at your request.

What does the IMDG dangerous goods by SEA training course involve?

Our IMDG dangerous goods training course is for all shippers and ship operators, with little or no IMDG training experience.  The course covers the following:

  • General philosophy
  • Classification
  • Identification
  • Packing and Packaging
  • Marking and labelling dangerous goods
  • Documentation
  • Segregation
  • Stowage of CTU's and ships

Course Completion Certification

Upon completion of either our Initial or Refresher training courses, we present successful candidates with a Certificate of training.  This in turn authorises them to legally ship dangerous goods by sea.
